There are a few things you need to ask yourself before you start looking for the right Car Starter:
a) Would you like to know if your vehicle has successfully remote started, (without looking at your vehicle)?
b) Would you like the remote starter to, lock & unlock doors, roll up windows, pop doors or trunk?
c) Do you need a vehicle security system? (When a unit has a remote starter & alarm unit together it's much easier to use)
d) Do you have a manual or automatic trasmission
"Quick Terms"
1 Way unit · Means that you need to rely on yourself to watch the vehicle successfully remote start.This does not mean that you have to see you vehicle to remote start, but you will not know for sure if you close enough to your vehicle for the unit to work.
2 Way unit · Also know as a pager unit means that the remote contoller that is included withyour remote starter will have some type of display that will show you what is going on with your vehicle at all times (within the recommended distance).
AM unit · This just means the frequency that the remote starter operates on. Usually an AM unit will have a range of about 1200ft of range (could be more), this is usually more that adiquite. *Just remember the maximum amount of range in the end depends on your vehicle
FM unit · This again just means the fequency that the remote starter operates on.usually an FM unit will have a range of 2000 ft all the way up to 6000 ft range seriously!! *Just remember the maximum amount of range in the end depends on your vehicle
